On May 29^th, the NYC Playgrounds Program team opened a new green infrastructure playground at East Village Community School/Children’s Workshop School/ P94, serving the school’s students and 42,000 neighbors within a 10-minute walk.

We love to invite local groups in the community to join or perform at our Opening Celebrations to make clear that when they school isn’t using the yard, it will serve as a community space.
