We had a fun & productive training workshop with the custodial staff at MS 267/LaCima/BSCCS in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn on Friday. This rainy summer has been good for our gardens, but the weeds seem to be thriving as much as our school garden plants!
I made these guys a site-specific weeding guide and they got into a friendly competition to see who could correctly identify the most weeds! The students will take over the stewardship when school starts next week. We’re always brainstorming new ways to keep the custodial staff, teachers, and students invested in their playgrounds.
